TOPIC:
After 18 days of continuous protests throughout the country, Egypt
turned a page of its history as President Mubarak, who had ruled the
country for nearly 30 years, stepped down and handed on his power to a
military council that would take up the responsibilities of an interim
period to pave the way for the democracy the people demanded.

This discussion will deal with these events seen from many
perspectives: the view from inside with regards to the reasons and
events that led to this revolution, a regional perspective how these
events are seen by and influencing the countries of the Middle East,
analysis of the reactions of EU and the USA, and finally, the role of
the (social) media in these developments.
